OXFORD INSTRUMENTS – James Segar

Dr. James Sagar is strategic product manager for benchtop NMR at Oxford Instruments, he has responsibility for benchtop NMR lifecycle management, product roadmap development and strategic partnerships.

James completed his PhD under the co supervision of Prof. Atsufumi Hirohata and Prof. Kevin O’Grady at the University of York having previously studied for an MPhys at the same institution. He worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the group of Prof. Paul Warburton at the London Centre for Nanotechnology. In 2015 James joined Oxford Instruments as product specialist in transmission electron microscopy and has held a number of positions across the group before taking up his current role in 2019.
